SCDOT seeks public input for Statewide Transit Plan
October 22, 2026The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) invites the public to participate in a virtual public meeting and online survey to help inform the Statewide Transit Plan.
The Statewide Transit Plan will identify public transportation needs across the state and shape the way SCDOT partners with local transit agencies. The plan will also identify ways to improve transit coordination, support economic growth, and help people reach jobs, healthcare, schools, and other important destinations. SCDOT will use data, community input, and stakeholder feedback to guide state policies and programs related to transit.
Virtual Public Meeting and Public Comment
The virtual public meeting will provide information and gather community input about the Statewide Transit Plan. Those who cannot attend the virtual meeting are encouraged to visit the project webpage after November 5 to review the recording and meeting materials. Members of the public can also provide their input through a survey and formal public comment form available on the project webpage through November 20, 2026. Additionally, public comments may be emailed to Jen Necker at [email protected].
