SCDOT to hold Carolina Crossroads open house Tuesday

April 8, 2024

SCDOT will host an open house meeting on Tuesday, April 9, to discuss construction re-phasing of the Carolina Crossroads Project. The meeting will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Dutch Square Center located at 421 Bush River Road.

This drop-in style event will provide an opportunity for members of the public to gain insight into the re-phased project. Attendees will be guided through display maps and videos, and project team members will be present to answer questions.

The meeting follows the February 2024 announcement that the upcoming phases of construction for the Carolina Crossroads Project will advance the interstate widening projects on I-20 and improvements to the I-126 and I-26 interchange while utility coordination and project development continues in the main interchange area.

Throughout the summer, SCDOT will continue to refine details of the Project Re-phasing Plan. That information will be announced as it becomes available. In the meantime, SCDOT is ensuring that momentum on Carolina Crossroads continues uninterrupted.

Phases 1 and 2 of the project continue to progress along I-126 at Colonial Life Boulevard and I-20 at the Broad River Road interchange respectively. SCDOT remains committed to completing the Carolina Crossroads Project and building a safer, more modern corridor for our community.
