The South Carolina Economic Developers’ Association (SCEDA) is excited to announce Caroline A. Warner, Director of Community Development for the South Carolina Power Team, and Dolton Williams, Executive Director of the Union County Development Board, are winners of this year’s Rising Star Award.

“It is truly an honor to be recognized as a Rising Star by my friends and colleagues in the South Carolina Economic Developers’ Association,” Warner said. “I am incredibly grateful to be a part of such a supportive and inspiring organization that is so willing to nurture its young talent. I am proud to continue to be a member and advocate for this incredible community of professionals.”

“I am beyond grateful to receive the Rising Star Award. It’s an honor to be recognized amongst those in the economic development industry who are all dedicated to South Carolina’s economic prosperity,” Williams said. “We all share a passion for making our communities a better place. I appreciate this award very much.”

The Rising Star Award is given to a SCEDA member who has made a mark on their employer during a relatively short tenure in a new role. Winners demonstrate an appetite for excellence, an aptitude for learning for new skills and mastering new responsibilities and show initiative in the workplace.
