SCEDA members honored by S.C. Department of Commerce

COLUMBIA, SC – April 18, 2012 – Two members from the S.C. Economic Developers’ Association (SCEDA) have been recognized as 2012 Ambassadors for Economic Development by the S.C. Department of Commerce. 

W. Stuart Ames of Progress Energy represented Florence County and Edward Kluiters of Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd PA represented Lancaster County at the 21st annual ceremony Tuesday on the Statehouse grounds. Ambassadors for Economic Development are private-sector individuals who have made significant contributions to community and state development. 

“SCEDA members all across our state advocate economic development to benefit the citizens of South Carolina,” said Heather Simmons Jones, SCEDA president. “Stuart and Edward are shining examples of SCEDA’s mission in action.”
