SCE&G relocating business office

SCE&G announced today that its business office operations at 7748 Garners Ferry Road in Columbia will be relocated to the company’s newest business office at 1213 Flora Street in Columbia, effective Oct. 2, 2017.
SCE&G Vice President of Customer Service Sam Dozier said the company remains focused on providing outstanding customer service while operating cost efficiently and responding to changes in consumer attitudes and behaviors.
“We have drastically reduced the need for our customers to visit a business office to conduct business with us,” said Dozier. “With more customers wanting to do business on line, we recently launched a mobile-friendly website and added 24-hour customer support on social media.”
Dozier said virtually all SCE&G customer transactions can now be handled on line or over the phone. One exception is cash payments; for those, SCE&G has more than 150 payment locations throughout the state.
“More enhancements are on the way,” said Dozier.
