CAYCE, SC -SCE&G will begin the process of painting the sheet pile wall adjacent to the Lake Murray pedestrian walkway across the top of the Dreher Shoals Dam on Wednesday, June 18. This painting project will help to maintain the integrity of the wall and enhance its appearance.

The painting of the 1.7 mile long wall will be conducted in ten-foot increments and is expected to take approximately one year to complete. Citizens using the walkway should not be impacted by the work.

“Maintaining the integrity of our facilities is a high priority for us,” said John Knight, plant manager of Northern Hydro’s and Peaking Plants who is managing this project for SCE&G. “We appreciate the patience of the public as we complete this important work.”
