School District Five physical education teacher, Carmen Plemmons, has received an Honor Award for 2022 by the South Carolina Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (SCAHPERD).
The Honor Award is the highest award given by SCAHPERD and they give out two annually. Its purpose is to honor a member who is known for high professional and personal standards and performance and is a role model for students, clients and colleagues.
“I am humbled and grateful to be recognized by the South Carolina Alliance of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (SCAHPERD) as an Honor Award recipient,” Plemmons said. “I am thankful for the support of the Lake Murray Elementary School Administration, School District Five Physical Education Professionals, and the School District Five District Office in understanding the importance of physical activity and the value to a well-rounded healthy student/staff and community. My goal is to keep championing for continued opportunities for our families to learn and grow through movement locally and throughout the great state of South Carolina.”
