School District Five names new Athletic Director for Chapin High School

Lexington-Richland School District Five has named Billie Williams the new athletic director of Chapin High School. Williams will replace Ronnie Wessinger who is retiring at the end of the school year.

Williams has been teaching for 15 years, the last 11 years have been at Chapin High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of South Carolina and a master’s degree in history from The Citadel. Williams’ impact in leadership roles at Chapin High include serving as the Student Activities Coordinator, Student Government sponsor, Key Club sponsor and as the Varsity Cheerleading Assistant Coach. She was also named the Lexington-Richland School District Five Teacher of the Year for the 2017-2018 school year.
