Scoops on West Main: A Canvas for Local Artists to Sweeten the Community

October 24, 2023

In an initiative that blends artistic expression with community engagement, Scoops on West Main, the ice cream parlor in Clinton, is opening its doors to local artists. They are inviting creatives to adorn the shop’s walls with their ice cream-themed artistry, transforming the space into a visual delight for all visitors.

The brainchild of Scoops on West Main’s owner, Jason Devette, this artistic endeavor aims to infuse an extra layer of warmth and charm into the ice cream parlor.

“We wanted to bring the artistic spirit of Clinton into Scoops on West Main, and what better way to do that than by inviting talented local artists to contribute their work.” says Devette. “Ice cream is about more than just the flavors; it’s about creating memories and connections. With the artwork, we hope to celebrate the vibrancy of our community while offering a unique experience to our customers.”

Local artists interested in having their ice cream-themed art featured in the ice cream parlor are encouraged to submit their creations by sending images or renderings to [email protected]. The submission deadline is December 31, 2023. The selected art pieces will be displayed throughout the store, creating a gallery-like atmosphere that adds a touch of creativity to every scoop of ice cream.

“We’re open to all forms of expression,” says Devette. “Whether it’s paintings, drawings, or photographs, as long as it’s inspired by the joy of ice cream, we’d love to see it.”

All artwork submitted needs to be “G” rated to be appropriate for the store. The art installation process will kick off in January, in preparation for Scoops on West Main’s season opener on March 1st.

So, Clinton’s talented artists, let your imagination run wild, and let your love for ice cream be your muse. Your artwork could soon be part of the colorful tapestry that is Scoops on West Main.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to sweeten up our community, one scoop of creativity at a time.
