Scott and Company CPAs announces new hire

Scott and Company LLC, one of South Carolina’s leading accounting and consulting firms, is pleased to announce that Kate Kilcoyne has joined the firm’s Assurance and Advisory Services team as an associate accountant.

As an associate accountant in the Assurance and Advisory Services department, Ms. Kilcoyne will provide valuable assistance to staff, including completing substantive work papers and writing financial statement footnotes, during various engagements.

Ms. Kilcoyne graduated magna cum laude from Wilmington University with a Master of Business Administration degree in accounting and a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. She is a member of the University’s Alumni Association and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and Delta Epsilon Rho.

Prior to joining Scott and Company, Ms. Kilcoyne gained experience in both corporate and public accounting and served clients in a variety of industries including, insurance, banking, manufacturing, retail, state and local governments, and non-profit organizations. As a recent graduate of an accredited MBA program with 150+ credits; she is eligible to sit for the CPA exam and intends to become certified for her licensure in South Carolina.

Ms. Kilcoyne is affiliated with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and is a member of the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (SCACPA). She resides in Easley, SC, and enjoys reading, baking, aviation, and doing DIY projects when time allows.
