Scott and Company promotes Piper to senior manager

Scott and Company LLC, announced that Meredith Piper has been promoted to senior manager in the firm’s Assurance and Advisory Services department.
“We are delighted to see Meredith reach this new level of leadership within the firm,” said Don Mobley, CPA, Managing Member. “She consistently shows initiative and is dedicated to her clients. I am confident she will excel in her new role as senior manager.”
In assuming her new duties as senior manager in the firm’s Columbia office, Ms. Piper will continue to be responsible for leading all aspects of audit, attestation and consulting engagements, training and developing associates and managing client relations through timely communication and ensuring stated engagement objectives are met. In addition to these core day-to-day tasks, Ms. Piper will be responsible for developing and expanding client relationships and fostering non-client relationships to assist in achieving the firm’s long-term business goals.
Piper works extensively with clients in the banking, insurance, real estate, manufacturing, non-profit and state/local government arenas. She also works with a broad range of closely-held businesses.
Piper holds Master in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degrees from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. Prior to joining Scott and Company, she was a manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (SCACPA).
