Scott Spigener selected as Construction Director

Scott-SpigenerSUMTER, SC – Scott Spigener will take on an expanded leadership role as Construction Director for the Thompson Turner Construction Division.  In his new role, Scott will be responsible for job staffing, financial performance of projects, ensuring safety on every job, coordinating transitions from precon/estimating and ensuring success for the client by delivering quality progress on each job.

Thompson Turner Construction has been a market leader in constructing educational, municipal, industrial and commercial buildings.   Scott’s background includes 27 years of project management and field experience.  He has extensive experience in K-12, higher education, health care, industrial, commercial and public construction projects.

Hal Turner, head of Thompson Turner states that Scott’s leadership and experience have already proven valuable in helping us to make great strides forward in our ability to advance in technology and quality delivery systems.

Scott is passionate about innovation and sharing best practices.  He has been instrumental in Thompson’s mentoring process developing young professionals for future leadership opportunities within the organization.   He has also taken the intuitive to bring innovative methods to monitor job metrics and to aid the progress of the project with BIM and other state-of-the art technology.

Scott graduated from Calhoun Academy in St. Matthews, then Clemson University with a Civil Engineering degree.  Scott is married to Kimberly, has 2 sons and lives in Columbia.
