SCRA announces new member companies and grant funding

Builder Rocket, CloseWise, and ElectroWire were accepted as South Carolina Research Authority Member Companies. Carolina Seed Systems, Pensievision, and Tandem Concepts received new grant funding.

All SCRA Member Companies receive coaching, access to experts in SCRA’s Resource Partner Network, eligibility to apply for grant funding, and the potential to be considered for investment from SCRA’s investment affiliate, SC Launch Inc.

Builder Rocket LLC has been accepted as an SCRA Member Company. The Spartanburg-based information technology company provides construction estimating software that builds a comprehensive customer product storyboard and estimating template that shares information among builders, clients, distributors, and contractors.

Carolina Seed Systems Inc. received a $50,000 Federal Matching Grant. The Darlington-based agricultural company optimizes crop seeds using genomic technologies. The result is a superior, hybrid seed that increases value throughout the supply chain.

CloseWise LLC has been accepted as an SCRA Member Company. The Lexington-based information technology company provides a notary database and scheduling software developed for signing agents, signing services, and title and escrow companies in order to digitalize the signing process.

ElectroWire Inc. Corporation has been accepted as an SCRA Member Company. The Lexington-based medical device company is seeking to simplify access to the left atrium of the human heart with its ElectroWire transseptal system.

Pensievision Inc. received a $25,000 Academic Startup Grant. The Charleston-based medical device company is developing groundbreaking three-dimensional medical imaging technologies for early-stage detection and analysis of cervical cancers.

Tandem Concepts Inc. received a $50,000 Demonstration Grant. The Charleston-based information technology company automates supply chain operations with its services that include integrated dispatchers, credit pre-approvals, automated order entries, and instant bill reconciliation.

SCRA welcomes these new Member Companies and congratulates those that received funding.

Grant funding is made possible, in part, by the Industry Partnership Fund (IPF) contributions that fuel the state’s innovation economy. Contributors to the IPF receive a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit, making it an easy and effective way to help one of the fastest-growing segments of the South Carolina economy. Grant funding for Member Companies creates a direct, positive economic effect and job creation.
