Three Companies, One Resource Partner Accepted into SC Launch Program

SCRA Technology Ventures announced the acceptance of three South Carolina companies into its SC Launch Program. Charleston-based App Squared and two Upstate-area companies Crowdr TV and Ellipsis Technologies are now Client Companies of the program. Product Launch Advisors was also accepted as part of the SC Launch Resource Partner Network that offers business services to SC Launch clients.

Client companies are accepted into the SC Launch economic development program to receive mentoring and other support services. These com panies may be eligible to receive matching funds or larger investments.

App Squared, LLC is based in Charleston and offers a software platform for Advanced Practice Providers to increase their billing volume.

Crowdr TV, based in the Upstate, is the first service to blend live video streaming with crowdfunding functionality. Built on the Facebook platform, Crowdr TV allows companies, charities, and political candidates to raise money in a live and interactive format.

Ellipsis Technologies, a SaaS based web security company, has developed an artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm called the Ellipsis Human Presence™ that can tell the difference between a human and a bot on a website based on human behavior including mouse movements and keystroke timing. This presents a significant departure from the current methods that require all visitors to a website to be tested as if they were an Internet bot.

Rock Hill-based Product Launch Advisors was also added to the Resource Partner Network. Product Launch Advisors has over 15 years of experience in product development and launch. The company offers expertise in product design, engineering, manufacturing and supply chain management.

“We are delighted to welcome these companies to the SC Launch program,” said SCRA CEO Bill Mahoney. “We look forward to the advances these companies will make as part of South Carolina’s high-tech economy.”
