SCSBA statement regarding Superintendent Bennett

The following is a statement by Scott Price, Executive Director of the South Carolina School Boards Association, concerning the death of Newberry County School District Superintendent Bennie Bennett:
“The South Carolina School Boards Association’s Board of Directors and staff extend our deepest sympathies to the students, staff and board of the School District of Newberry County. Superintendent Bennett was a well-respected education leader who will be greatly missed by many and remembered as an outstanding, dedicated educator who was passionate about students and public education. Our thoughts and prayers are with Superintendent Bennett’s family, the Newberry County community and everyone affected by this tragic loss.”
