SCSHA VP of Governmental Affairs elected to President Elect-Elect

The  South Carolina Speech Language Hearing Association (SCSHA) is thrilled to announce Michelle L.W. Dawson, MS, CCC-SLP has been elected to the position of President Elect- Elect on the board of directors.

Michelle currently  serves on the board as the VP of Government Affairs. There was a nomination process through SCSHA members in which the nominations go in front of the board to then be voted upon by fellow members.

Michelle L.W. Dawson, MS CCC-SLP, works with Sprout Pediatrics.  She specializes in pediatric feeding disorders and speech/language acquisition with the medically fragile population.  She earned her BS in Speech Language Pathology from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA and her MS in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA.

Dr. Jackie Jones-Brown, President of SCSHA, stated, “It is my distinct honor to congratulate Michelle Dawson. Michelle exemplifies commitment, enthusiasm and passion for every aspect of our profession. She is a dedicated member of SCSHA’s executive board and was recently selected as one of thirty speech language pathologists by ASHA to participate in their Leadership Development Program. Michelle gives unselfishly to service and I know she will bring a wealth of knowledge to the position that will benefit our members.”
