SeamonWhiteside, a full-service land design firm with offices throughout the Carolinas, welcomes Dr. Hassan Ismail to the Greenville office in his new role as the Civil Engineering Project Coordinator. As a registered Professional Engineer and scientist, Ismail brings nine years of professional experience in hydraulic modeling, analysis, and design to SeamonWhiteside, which will provide the firm with his expertise in combining laboratory and computational modeling to address challenging water-related engineering problems. Ismail joins SeamonWhiteside after spending time as a Pennsylvania State University’s research faculty member, where he authored four research papers and became an award-winning scientific communicator.

“Having studied the flow of water and sediment in natural and engineered settings for nearly a decade as an engineering scientist, I hope to strengthen SeamonWhiteside’s hydraulic modeling capabilities and broaden its footprint into emerging sectors such as river and stream restorations, nature-based infrastructures, and infrastructure resiliency,” said Ismail.

Ismail is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, where he earned his Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees.
