SeamonWhiteside announces eight new Mt. Pleasant hires

The landscape architecture and civil engineering firm, SeamonWhiteside (SW+) has recently added several staff members to its Mt. Pleasant office.

Rivers Cape, EIT, Civil Engineering Project Coordinator

Rivers Cape graduated from Clemson University in August 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Prior to joining SW+, he worked in the land development division at Kimley-Horn in Raleigh, NC. His project experience includes K-12 schools, private commercial developments and multi-family residential projects.

Chip Wyatt, EIT, Civil Engineering Project Coordinator

Chip Wyatt graduated from Clemson University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in biological systems engineering. After graduating, he worked for Timmons Group in Richmond, VA, where he gained experience in drainage design, storm water management and water quality regulatory compliance.

Dalton Hunter, EIT, Civil Engineering Project Coordinator

Dalton Hunter graduated from Clemson University in December 2015 with a bachelor of science in civil engineering. He previously worked with Keck & Wood, Inc. in Rock Hill, SC where he worked on a variety of site development and water resources projects.

Arron Diedrich, Land Planner I

Arron Diedrich graduated from West Virginia University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture and a minor in business administration. He previously worked in Washington D.C. and Charleston, SC as a high-end residential designer. Arron brings an array of digital graphic experiences and a knack for integrating art and function into designed spaces.

Chad Smith, EIT, Engineer-in-Training

Chad Smith graduated from The Citadel in May of 2016 with a degree in civil engineering. During his college years he worked in construction and as a surveyor. He will be working on a mix of residential and commercial projects.

Erin Eckman, Assistant Permitting Coordinator

Erin Eckman has joined the permitting/entitlements department of SW+. Prior to joining SW+ she was the office manager and permit coordinator for Omni Services of SC, a local electrical contractor.

Charlie Barwick, Construction Administration Project Manager

Charlie Barwick is the newest addition to the SW+ construction administration team. He brings with him more than 33 years of experience as an infrastructure contractor. He has worked on more than 1,000 local projects, including the Charleston International Airport, the North Charleston Coliseum, the Ravenel Bridge and Nuclear Propulsion Training Center.

Julia Kim, Land Planner I

Julia Kim is a recent graduate of the University of Georgia, where she earned a degree in landscape architecture. Before joining SW+, she worked as a graphic designer throughout college. She will be working on a variety of project, from municipal improvements and residential developments to commercial facilities.
