SeamonWhiteside announces new corporate leadership team

SeamonWhiteside (SW+), a full-service land design firm throughout the Carolinas, is excited to announce the appointment of its new Corporate Officers. The Officers include Russ Seamon (President), Joe Bryant (Executive Vice President), Gary Collins (Vice President), Jason Munday (Vice President) and William O’Neal (Vice President).

The Leadership Team, which was put in place several years ago, will now officially take the reins in leading the firm forward with the continued mentorship of Stuart Whiteside, Principal in Charge. “Each member on this Leadership Team is incredibly passionate about SeamonWhiteside,” says Stuart Whiteside. “They have shown time and time again that they will put the company’s best interest above their own and I have full faith in them leading SeamonWhiteside into the future.”

Russ Seamon, ASLA, LEED AP, is a graduate of The University of Georgia where he received his Bachelor’s at the School Of Environment and Design. Russ joined his father, Kenny Seamon, at SeamonWhiteside after college and has been with the firm for the past 18+ years. As President, he will focus on Human Resources and the day to day management of SW+.

Joe Bryant, PE, MCE, LEED AP, is a graduate of Clemson University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He then went on to receive his Master of Civil Engineering in Environment and Water Resources. Joe leads the firm’s Greenville and Spartanburg offices and has been with SeamonWhiteside for 15 years. On the Leadership Team, Joe will serve as Executive Vice President and oversee Business and Finance.

Gary Collins, PLA has over 25 years of experience in all aspects of land planning and landscape architecture. He received his BLA from Ryerson University in Toronto and his Master’s in Landscape Architecture from North Carolina State University Raleigh. He has been with SeamonWhiteside for 10 years and focuses on the company’s strategic plan, IT, Innovation and Marketing.

Jason Munday, PE, is a graduate of The University of Georgia College of Engineering where he received his Bachelor of Science in Biological Engineering. He has been with SeamonWhiteside for the past 15+ years. On the Leadership Team, Jason will serve as Vice President and oversee Business Development and Growth Opportunities.

William O’Neal PE, LEED AP, is a graduate of Clemson University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He has been with SeamonWhiteside for the past 16+ years as a Civil Engineering Team Leader. As Vice President, William will oversee Operations and SeamonWhiteside’s Leadership Training and Mentorship Program.

The Leadership Team is both confident and excited to continue to grow the firm, create new opportunities for its people, and design communities that enrich our lives.
