Sean Tracey joins Charleston Metro Chamber; Therese Gordon receives promotion

One new professional recently joined the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce team and a high performing staff member received a promotion.

Sean Tracey: Vice President, Advancement

Sean Tracey serves as the Chamber’s Vice President of Advancement. Within his role, Tracey is responsible for leading and enhancing the Chamber’s small business platform, leadership programming and Charleston Young Professionals. Tracey works to ensure the Chamber’s advancement platforms provide the resources to help increase each business members success while contributing to the sustainable growth of the Charleston region.

Prior to joining the Chamber, Tracey was the Director of Planning and Development at the Charleston County Aviation Authority where he worked for 11 and a half years. He received a bachelor’s in business administration from St. Michael’s College. Originally from Massachusetts, Tracey resides in North Charleston with his wife and two sons.

Therese Gordon: Events & Sponsorship Manager

Therese Gordon was recently promoted to Events and Sponsorship Manager. Gordon is responsible for the planning and execution, as well as sponsor relations, of the Chamber’s series events, such as Business in your Backyard, Executive Women’s Roundtable and State of the Region. She joined the Chamber in 2013.

Gordon received a bachelor’s degree in public relations and journalism from Temple University. Born and raised in Sweden, Gordon spent 10 years in Philadelphia before moving to Charleston six years ago. She currently resides in James Island with her husband, two year old son and two labradoodles.
