Second annual Bundles of Joy Community Baby Shower set for Nov. 14
October 5, 2026The Upstate Pregnancy Center will host its second annual Bundles of Joy Community Baby Shower on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Clinton.
Hosted in partnership with First Choice by Select Health, the free event celebrates expectant mothers and fathers across Laurens County with a morning of encouragement, gifts and community support.
The inaugural shower in November 2025 drew more than 40 expectant mothers, many joined by fathers, parents or other family members. Guests gathered important information from about 12 vendors, received baby gifts, heard from an educational speaker and enjoyed prize drawings and fellowship. Organizers expect this year’s event to build on that response.
“There is nothing quite like watching a room full of expectant parents realize their whole community is behind them,” said Brenda Stewart, UPC board member. “This event is designed to celebrate and support new parents, reminding them that they are not alone on this journey.”
Community support is also building, with sponsorship opportunities available. The event’s fundraising goal is $15,000. Funds raised will support the center’s ongoing programs and help expand its services and will provide seed money for its capital campaign for a facility of its own. Sponsorship levels range from $50 to $2,500, with each sponsor recognized throughout the event. Churches may also participate through a Church Love Gift.
Attendees can look forward to a morning filled with encouragement, prize drawings and special gifts for both moms and dads, along with practical resources for pregnancy and parenting.
Expectant parents or those who have welcomed a baby within the past 30 days can register by emailing [email protected] or texting 864-939-8225 with the names of all attendees.
Those interested in becoming a sponsor or learning more about the event may contact Brenda Stewart at 864-449-7700 or [email protected].
The Bundles of Joy Community Baby Shower is a reminder of the kindness and generosity that make Laurens County a wonderful place to raise a family.
