Charleston SC, a strong economy- a strong boating industry

Charleston In-Water Boat Show April 17-19, 2015

CHARLESTON, SC – The Charleston In-Water Boat Show, April 17-19, returns to downtown Charleston at the Bristol Marina and Brittlebank Park. Under the management of JBM & Associates, producers of the annual Charleston Area Convention Center boat show each January, the spring “in-water” show proves that the business of boating is big business in South Carolina.

“Prior to last year’s in-water show, there had not been a big spring boat show besides some of the local dealer’s annual shows, since 2008. Charleston is not a huge city, but it is a mecca for boaters and for boat dealers,” said Jacqui Bomar, President of JBM & Associates.

“My company has been producing the annual January boat show in this market since 2002. This is the first year that I have felt truly confident in managing a second annual show in the Charleston market. That’s a testament to the strong boat dealerships and manufacturers in the region, as well as the popularity of boating and fishing in the region,” she added.

The strength of the marine industry also means an outstanding variety of boat brands at the Charleston In-Water Boat Show. There will be boats starting at approximately 14 feet at the Brittlebank Park, and going up in size on the docks of the marina to approximately 60 feet.

With more than 50 different boat brands at the show, and hundreds of boats to choose from, this is a one-stop shopping experience. Sea trials will be offered on certain boats. Manufacturers and dealers, experts on their particular boat lines will answer questions on their products and services. They will also offer sale prices and manufacturers rebates as well. The show will host boat engine companies, financing, insurance, marine accessories, and more at the three-day show.

This event will wrap up an outstanding season for our regional dealers and for JBM & Associates, boat show management and marketing company, reported Bomar. The show will also feature family-fun events including the popular Kids’ Fishing Clinics with Captain Don Dingman. Every child who comes to the clinics will receive a free rod and reel. Other kids’ activities include a pirate treasure hunt, bouncy houses, face painting and more. Experience some delectable treats at the food truck as well.

With gorgeous harbor views and slips for every size boat, the Charleston In-Water Boat Show promises to deliver the ultimate boating experience. The show is being sponsored by Allstate Boat Insurance and Maritime Insurance.
