Senior Action Names Board Members

GREENVILLE, SC – April 12, 2011 – Senior Action, the non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening Greenville County’s maturing population and their families by providing access to resources needed for physical, emotional and social well-being, has named a dozen well-known Upstate residents to its Board of Directors.

Members of the Board include Jeff Dezen, president of Jeff Dezen Public Relations, who will serve as Board Chairman; Charles Ratterree, chief operating officer for Merge, an Upstate digital marketing and web firm who will serve as Vice Chairman and Chair-Elect; BJ Burns, director of marketing for The Gardens at Eastside; and J. Philip Feisal, CEO of The Village Hospital.

Also named to the Board were community volunteers Jackie Jacobsen and Linda Satterfield; Sam Kleckley, food service director of The Village Hospital; and Sam Patrick, president of Patrick Marketing & Communications, Inc.

Rounding out the new Board are Susan Schwartzkopf, vice president of market development and new media for The Greenville News; Catherine Smith, principal of Catherine Smith Architecture, LLC; J. David Sudduth, administrative director of finance and governmental affairs for Bon Secours St. Francis Health System; and Bobbi Wheless, president of The Wheless Group.

This Board represents a deep and talented group of leaders who are well immersed and well-connected in the Greenville community, and who bring a strong track record of leadership and direction to civic organizations across the Upstate, said Andrea Smith, Senior Action Executive Director and CEO, in making the announcement.  We greatly value their willingness to assume leadership roles in serving Senior Action and Greenville County’s large and growing adult population.
