Senior Resources received a $7,500 grant from the Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina to support the continuation of nutritional services, wellness programs, and other programming that enable seniors to age with dignity and remain healthy, independent and in their homes. The funds awarded from this grant will help us sustain our current programming and meet the surge in demand for support among seniors in our community.

“Too often seniors on fixed incomes are forced to make the tough decisions between paying the bills, refilling a prescription, or having food on the table,” said Andrew Boozer, Executive Director of Senior Resources. “The Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina continues to be an active partner in providing for these vital basic needs for these seniors in our community so they can live healthily and with dignity, as they age in place in their own homes.”

Support from organizations like Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina, enable us to continue our mission at Senior Resources. Through services such as our Meals on Wheels delivery program, we strive to empower local seniors to remain healthy and to receive the daily nutrition that they need, even as we face food shortages, fear and isolation due to a global pandemic. This generous grant award allows Senior Resources to continue to fulfill the increased volume of meal deliveries, and sustain our current programming, along with provide flexibility for increased capacity.

We appreciate the support of Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina as we work to empower seniors to live healthy and independent lives.
