Serving Up Community: Greater Mauldin Chamber Celebrates Grand Opening of The Pickle Yard

June 1, 2026

The local business community and sports enthusiasts gathered in the heart of Mauldin to celebrate a major milestone in the city’s ongoing downtown revitalization. The Greater Mauldin Chamber of Commerce officially hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to welcome the city’s newest indoor athletic and social destination, The Pickle Yard. The evening brought out a large crowd of local families, regional business owners, and city supporters who turned out to commemorate the facility’s formal integration into the Mauldin business landscape.

A 20,000-Square-Foot Entertainment Anchor

The ribbon cutting marks a significant step forward for the Maverick Yards redevelopment project, which successfully transformed a former industrial warehouse at 15 Jenkins Court into a vibrant, multi-use community hub. Capstoning the urban district, The Pickle Yard blends dedicated indoor athletics with a family-friendly social atmosphere.

The extensive complex features:

  • Six Indoor Pickleball Courts: Premium, weather-protected courts tailored for players of all skill levels.

  • Two Outdoor Padel Courts: Bringing the fast-growing European racket sport to the Upstate with the area’s first public-access enclosed padel courts.

  • ProTee Golf Simulators: Top-tier simulators featuring lounge seating to accommodate groups and private parties.

  • Dilly’s Oasis Bar & Kitchen: A U-shaped hospitality space offering elevated dining, craft beer, and community-centric menus.

  • A 5,000-Square-Foot Covered Porch: Equipped with heaters, outdoor yard games, and televisions for casual viewing and relaxation.

Driving Downtown Vitality

Mauldin officials and Chamber representatives highlighted the opening as a primary driver for future economic growth. By pairing a healthy-living athletic focus with active dining, the complex is designed to offer residents an alternative to traditional entertainment venues. Future expansion plans for the site include a dedicated outdoor performance stage, line dancing events, and a direct infrastructure connection to the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail.

The Pickle Yard is now operating under regular weekly hours, welcoming drop-in visitors, league players, and dining patrons from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and extending weekend hours until 10:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
