Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands promotes Mary Dell Hayes to serve as Executive Director after completing a national search for the agency’s next leader.

President of the Board of Directors, Kristian Bell, says, “After completing an extensive national search, we are confident that we have identified the best candidate to continue STSM’s vision of healthy survivors thriving in a community free of sexual violence. Mary Dell’s longstanding commitment to advancing STSM’s mission will guide us to continued strength and growth.”

Mary Dell says, “I am honored to have the opportunity to serve our community as the Executive Director at Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands. I look forward to working with our incredible staff, board of directors, and community leaders to advocate for survivors of sexual assault and abuse and educate the community to identify and prevent sexual violence.”

Mary Dell Hayes most recently served as Interim Executive Director and Director of Development at STSM. Mary Dell has previously served as the Volunteer Services Coordinator and the Development Coordinator at STSM. She completed her Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of South Carolina and recently finished her Master’s degree in Business Administration from USC. She has prior experience working in development with Pawmetto Lifeline and the Lexington Medical Center Foundation.
