May 21, 2026May 29–31, 2026 | USS Yorktown at Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum
Sport Fishing Championship (SFC) will return to Charleston, South Carolina, May 29–31, for the SFC Carrier Cup presented by HUK, a three-day offshore fishing tournament, live broadcast, fan festival and patriotic celebration staged aboard the historic USS Yorktown (CV-10) at Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum, highlighted by the America250 Summer Kickoff Concert featuring Diamond-selling country music superstar and SFC Angling Club co-owner Brian Kelley on Friday night.
Taking place during Week Three of SFC’s Atlantic Division season, the Carrier Cup will bring together seven professional angling clubs competing in real time, with live coverage airing across YouTube, the ESPN App, Disney+, and Hulu via ESPN+. SFC’s live broadcast set and fan festival will be staged directly from the flight deck of the USS Yorktown, creating one of the most unique settings in professional sports.
The event will help kick off the summer of America’s Semiquincentennial as part of SFC’s partnership with America250, the national nonpartisan organization charged by Congress to lead the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Throughout the weekend, the Carrier Cup will honor active-duty and retired service members while showcasing Charleston’s rich military history aboard one of the country’s most historic naval vessels.
Fans can experience the action throughout the weekend with the SFC Fan Fest, SFC Watch Party LIVE!, sponsor activations, live tournament coverage, and daily public events aboard the USS Yorktown.
The weekend’s marquee entertainment event will be the America250 Summer Kickoff Concert featuring Brian Kelley on Friday, May 29, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on the flight deck of the USS Yorktown.
“It’s a massive blessing to be celebrating America’s 250th and kick it off with a concert for our troops and fans on board,” Kelley said. “It’s going to be a jam-packed weekend and I’m grateful to be a part of it.”
Besides his success as a chart-topping country artist, Kelley also has a personal connection to the league as co-owner of SFC’s Gulf Coast Cowboys Angling Club, competing in the league’s Gulf Division.
“As an angling club owner, competitor, and a beloved musician, Brian Kelley is an extended member of our SFC family, so to have him perform at the Carrier Cup elevates what is already shaping up to be a truly unforgettable weekend in Charleston,” said SFC Commissioner and CEO Mark Neifeld. “This concert on the flight deck of the USS Yorktown, as part of our celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary, is exactly the kind of unique experience SFC is committed to delivering by bringing together sports, entertainment, and a deep appreciation for our military community in one extraordinary setting.”
“It is our privilege to present the SFC Carrier Cup and begin a summer of celebrating the 250th anniversary of our country’s founding in such an iconic, historic location,” said Bryan Johnston, CEO & President of HUK. “Charleston is where HUK was founded, and it remains the heartbeat of our brand today. To see an event of this magnitude kick off here, alongside our partners at SFC and Patriots Point, makes this moment especially meaningful for our team. For more than a decade, HUK Performance Fishing has proudly supported America’s military men and women, and our 160+ employees and stakeholders are honored to be part of an experience that will create lasting memories for everyone involved.”
“America’s 250th anniversary is an opportunity to bring people together in celebration of the service, traditions, and shared experiences that define our nation,” said Jen Condon, Executive Vice President at America250. “The SFC Carrier Cup aboard the USS Yorktown creates a unique setting to honor America’s military community while engaging fans through music, sport, and patriotic celebration as part of the Semiquincentennial.”
Concert tickets are available in two pricing tiers: General Admission for $115 and the 1776 Club VIP package for $250. The VIP package includes premium stage-side viewing, open bar, commemorative credential, swag bag and a special gift from Kelley. America250 and SFC have also teamed up to provide complimentary Fan Fest and concert tickets for active-duty and retired military members through local military service groups and nonprofit organizations.
