September 2, 2018

AnMed Health is pleased to announce that Shaunda Trotter, RN has been named vice president of nursing/chief nursing officer. Trotter steps into the role as former AnMed Health chief nursing officer Tina Jury assumes additional responsibilities as EVP chief of operations.

Since joining AnMed Health in 2015 as assistant vice president of nursing, Trotter has made significant contributions to the health system. One of these areas is in nurse recruitment, retention and continuing to support relationships with our academic partners.

“Shaunda has been instrumental in developing academic partnerships that enable AnMed Health to grow and develop its nursing staff,” said Jury. “In her new role, shewill build on these accomplishments by providing more direct leadership of the nursing staff and becoming more involved in nursing’s day to day operations.”

Trotter started her nursing career at AnMed Health before leaving to pursue a leadership position. With nearly 20 years of progressive nursing experience, Trotter returned to AnMed Health after serving as chief nursing officer for Hillcrest Memorial Hospital in Simpsonville. She is an MSN graduate of the University of Phoenix and is a member of numerous boards and nursing organizations. She currently serves on a committee of the South Carolina Board of Nursing. In 2018, she was one of only 100 Palmetto Gold Award recipients named annually by the South Carolina Nurses Foundation.

Of her new role, Trotter said, “I’m excited to take on new responsibilities at AnMed Health. I’ve enjoyed being a part of the health system’s efforts to bring quality, compassionate care to our patients and I look forward to the new challenges and opportunities ahead.”
