Shine the Light Nonprofit Forums kicks off 2017 program on March 1 at Zen

February 20, 2017

DNA Creative Communications, in partnership with the Community Foundation of Greenville, the United Way of Greenville County and the Hollingsworth Funds, announces the launch event for its 2017 Shine the Light series. The event, “Creating Greenville’s Nonprofit Landscape,” will be held on March 1 from 4pm to 6pm at Zen, at 924 South Main Street in downtown Greenville.

Debbie Nelson, president and founder of DNA Creative Communications shares, “I am so excited to launch our 2017 Shine the Light series with what will be a truly fun and collaborative event. It’s always amazing to bring together so many wonderful organizations from our community at Shine the Light, and this event will allow everyone to show their creative sides. Together we will create a large mural of Greenville’s nonprofit landscape. While the event is open to all nonprofit professionals from across the community – the more the merrier – to attend you must register at www.nonprofitforums.org.”

The launch is designed with three goals in mind. The first is to offer a fun event to celebrate and recognize those who are leading nonprofit organizations and making our community a better place to live. Secondly, with the help of Jeff Renow, the owner of Zen and himself an artist, more than 200 attendees will have the opportunity to design a large format canvas showcasing the landscape of Greenville’s nonprofit organizations. Finally, the 2017 Shine the Light Forums series, “Creativity: A Pathway to Change,” will be announced. This year will feature 4 exciting half-day workshops on highly relevant leadership strategies.

Shine the Light Nonprofit forums is made possible by the generous support of the following community partners: Community Foundation of Greenville, United Way of Greenville County, Hollingsworth Funds, Zen, The Warehouse Theatre, Martin Printing and GVLToday.
