Shovels & Rope headline August concert at Greenville’s Hampton Station

First Things Foundation brings an evening of Georgian feasting and live music to the Upstate on Saturday, August 29, 2026.
First Things Foundation announces Art of the Tamada: A Toast to the Upstate, coming to Greenville on Saturday, August 29, 2026. The event centers on the Supra, a traditional Georgian feast built around food, wine, toasts, and the ancient art of hospitality, and culminates that evening with a live outdoor concert at Hampton Station headlined by Shovels & Rope, joined by Darby Wilcox and special guest Carrie Menolakos.
Shovels & Rope, the acclaimed South Carolina folk-rock duo of Michael Trent and Cary Ann Hearst, return to their home state for what promises to be one of the Upstate’s standout summer shows on August 29. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. at Hampton Station, 1320 Hampton Ave Extension, a walkable mixed-use community in Greenville’s Water Tower District along the Swamp Rabbit Trail.
“We built this weekend around the idea that people are hungry for a real table — a place where conversation has shape and strangers can start to become neighbors,” said John Heers, founder and director of First Things Foundation. “The Supra is that table, and the concert is how we open it to the whole city.”
General admission tickets are available now at early bird pricing of $45 through July 31, with regular pricing of $50 beginning August 1. For those seeking the full experience, the Supra Concert Experience ($225 early bird / $275 regular) includes a pre-concert Georgian feast with dinner, wine, and toasts hosted by Keipi Restaurant, plus reserved table seating near the stage and concert admission.
