Silver Crescent Foundation Elects New Officers for 2009
March 17, 2009COLUMBIA, SC – March 17, 2009 – The Silver Crescent Foundation Board of Directors elected new officers for 2009 at its annual meeting last Friday, March 13. Gary Foster, President and Chief Executive Officer of Automation Engineering Corporation in Greenville, was elected chairman; Mike Rose, who recently retired as Plant Manager of Bridgestone Firestone in Aiken, was elected vice chair; and George Lockwood, President of CPM Federal Credit Union, was elected secretary/treasurer.
The Board also recognized Oscar Prioleau, retired President of Prioleau Steel, for his longstanding service to the Foundation and presented him with a resolution bestowing him Honorary Emeritus board status.
“Oscar has been a valuable advisor to the Silver Crescent Foundation and its predecessor, TECINC, for nearly 20 years and we are privileged to have someone with his experience and background interested in our organization’s mission to promote career exploration among young people,” said Silver Crescent Foundation President Karen Owens.
