Simpsonville Arts Center Open Registration for July Youth Summer Theatre Camp

The Simpsonville Arts Center is inviting young creatives across the Upstate to take the stage this season as registration officially opens for its upcoming Summer Theatre Camp.

the week-long program is tailored specifically for students in rising 3rd through 8th grades. The camp aims to give young performers a creative outlet to develop their artistic talents and build self-assurance in an encouraging environment.

Exploring Creative Arts on Stage

The curriculum balances fundamental performance techniques with high-energy, interactive activities. Throughout the week, campers will participate in specialized workshops focused on:

• Acting Techniques and Terminology: Learning the fundamentals of stage movement, vocal projection, and character development.

• Improvisation and Theatre Games: Growing creative thinking, spontaneity, and collaboration skills through guided ensemble exercises.

• Confidence Building: Helping aspiring actors overcome stage fright and develop public speaking skills that translate beyond the theatre.

The program also incorporates foundational elements of singing and creative group games, culminating in final performance opportunities for the students.
