Simpsonville celebrates community, downtown charm at annual ‘Sippin’ Wine Tasting Tour

Downtown Simpsonville transformed into a bustling walking promenade as hundreds of residents, visitors, and local business supporters gathered for the annual “Sippin’ in Simpsonville: A Downtown Wine Tasting Tour.”

Organized by the Simpsonville Area Chamber of Commerce, the popular evening event invited ticket holders to stroll through the city center, sampling regional and specialty wines while exploring local retail shops, dining spots, and artisan pop-ups. Presented once again by longtime community sponsor Weichert, Realtors – Shaun & Shari Group, the gathering highlighted the vitality of Simpsonville’s commercial core.

The event also held a poignant moment of reflection. Coinciding with the 25th anniversary of September 11, the Simpsonville Fire Department honored the lives lost with a prominent display of the American flag downtown, drawing moments of pause and tribute from attendees throughout the evening.

Chamber officials praised the broad cross-departmental coordination that enabled the large-scale street event to run smoothly. Extensive support was provided by the Simpsonville Police Department, Public Works Department, and Parks and Recreation Department, alongside a dedicated team of community volunteers.
