Simpsonville chamber lunch and learn to focus on stroke awareness and lifesaving response

The Simpsonville Area Chamber of Commerce will host a health education session next week focused on critical, lifesaving responses to medical emergencies in the workplace and community.

As part of its ongoing Lunch & Learn Series sponsored by Prisma Health, the chamber will present “Stroke Education — Know the Signs, Save a Life” on Tuesday, Sept. 22, from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 105-A West Curtis Street.

Led by Prisma Health ICU Nurse Megan Sneed, the presentation centers on rapid stroke identification, early intervention, and prevention. Attendees will learn how to recognize early warning signs, understand what clinical care takes place when a patient arrives at an emergency department, and discover practical ways to respond swiftly when seconds count.

In addition to the educational presentation, the gathering provides local professionals an opportunity to introduce their organizations and network before and after the program.

The session will take place in the chamber’s conference room, following a structured mid-day schedule:

• 11:45 a.m.: Arrival, check-in, and networking

• 12:00 p.m.: Welcome announcements and presentation

Registration is $15 for Simpsonville Chamber members and $25 for non-members, with lunch included in the fee. Chamber members eligible to use programming credits can redeem them by contacting chamber staff directly. Attendees are asked to note any dietary restrictions during the registration process.
