Simpsonville Set to Sparkle: Free Concert and Fireworks to Celebrate America’s 250th at Simply Freedom Fest
June 10, 2026One of the Upstate’s most anticipated summer traditions is gearing up for a major milestone celebration this July.
The City of Simpsonville has officially announced the details for the 2026 Simply Freedom Fest, set to take place on Friday, July 3, at the CCNB Amphitheatre at Heritage Park. This year’s free, all-ages community event carries extra significance as it coincides with the nationwide celebrations marking America’s 250th birthday.
Gates at the open-air venue are scheduled to open at 5:30 p.m., with live entertainment kicking off at 6:00 p.m.
This year’s musical lineup features a star-studded double bill. Sharing the marquee are the multi-platinum country rock band Parmalee—known for chart-topping hits like “Carolina” and “Just the Way”—and South Carolina’s own singer-songwriter icon Edwin McCain, whose legendary anthems “I’ll Be” and “I Could Not Ask for More” remain staples of American pop-rock. Local favorite DJ Sha is also set to take the stage to get the party started.
In addition to the live performances, attendees can expect a festive atmosphere packed with a variety of food and beverage options available for purchase from local vendors.
True to tradition, the evening will culminate in a spectacular, choreographed fireworks display scheduled to illuminate the night sky at approximately 9:30 p.m.
True to its name, admission to the Simply Freedom Fest is completely free to the public, and tickets are not required for entry. However, because the festival operates on a first-come, first-served basis, city officials and organizers strongly recommend arriving early, as gates will close once the amphitheater reaches maximum capacity. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the night under the stars.
