Six attorneys join Nelson Mullins in Columbia

COLUMBIA SC – Bradley D. Barringer, Joseph E. Fornadel III, Sean C. Hastings, Jennifer Jokerst, Evan T. Leadem, and Meredith Weinberg have joined the Columbia office of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough as associates.

Bradley D. Barringer, Joseph E. Fornadel III, Sean C. Hastings, Jennifer Jokerst, Evan T. Leadem, and Meredith Weinberg

 

Mr. Barringer will focus his practice in the areas of pharmaceutical and medical device litigation, product liability, and business litigation. He is also a professional engineer in the state of South Carolina and has previously worked as a civil engineer for a South Carolina highway design firm as well as a civil engineering analyst for a national firm. He earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He also earned a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he also earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a minor in Public Policy with highest honors.

Mr. Fornadel will focus his practice in the areas of pharmaceutical and medical device litigation, product liability, and e-discovery. He is admitted in both South Carolina and New York and has previously worked for the New York State Court of Appeals. He earned his Juris Doctor and Certificate in Environmental Law, summa cum laude, from the Pace University School of Law.  He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Bachelor of Science in Biology, magna cum laude, from Wofford College.

Mr. Hastings will focus his practice in the area of corporate law. He earned his Juris Doctor from the Vanderbilt University Law School. He also attended Furman University where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Sociology.

Ms. Jokerst will focus her practice in the areas of pharmaceutical device litigation, product liability, and business litigation. She earned her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Affairs, in cursu honorum summa cum laude, from the University of Nevada, Reno.

Mr. Leadem will focus his practice on business and commercial litigation, premises liability, and professional negligence. He earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Wake Forest University School of Law, where he also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with minors in History and International Studies, cum laude.

Ms. Weinberg will focus her practice on healthcare. She earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the William and Mary Law School. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, cum laude, from Davidson College.
