Smashburger donates more than $6,500 to Epworth Children’s Home

The Columbia area’s newest Smashburger, which opened in May at the Village at Sandhill, has donated $6,513.39 to Epworth Children’s Home as part of its opening month charitable partnership.

During the restaurant’s grand opening month of May, Smashburger donated $1 for each kids meal purchased in the Village at Sandhill store to Epworth. In addition, Smashburger held a “Pay What You Want Day” on May 4 during which guests could make a contribution of any amount to Epworth.

Epworth Children’s Home provides group residential care for children and youth ages four to 18 from all of South Carolina. Founded in 1896, Epworth provides childcare, counseling and related services to families and children without regard to race, religion, national origin or ability to pay.
