Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP names Doug Walker chief operating officer

Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP announced Doug Walker has been promoted to chief operating officer. Walker will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the firm’s seven offices.

Walker joined Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP in 2003 and is based in the Raleigh office. He has held various positions within the firm including director of marketing and director of operations. In his new role, he will focus on the strategic growth of the firm in terms of talent management, client development, technology, operations and finance.

Walker received his bachelor’s degrees in business administration and communication from North Carolina State University and his Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School.
