Smokefree SC Board of Directors announces call for nominations

Smokefree SC, a statewide nonprofit that works to protect the health of all South Carolinians, is seeking experienced nonprofit leaders for several open seats on their Board of Directors for a 2-year term beginning July 1, 2022.
Smokefree SC is a statewide 501c3 that supports tobacco prevention efforts to reduce the enormous health toll and financial burden of tobacco use in our state. We are small organization that partners with state agencies, community coalitions, and other stakeholders to help improve the health of South Carolinians through best practice initiatives.
Candidates can be located anywhere in SC, and we are currently seeking board members with the following areas of experience and/or expertise:
- Smoking Cessation
- Rural/Low-income Populations
- Local Advocacy and Organizing
- State Lobbying
- Accounting/CPA
Hybrid board meetings are held quarterly in Columbia and via Zoom. Self-nominations are welcome and encouraged!
