‘Soft opening’ held for the Saluda River Greenway.

The City of Columbia Parks and Recreation Department finalized a “soft opening” of the Saluda River Greenway. On Saturday, June 12, at 6am, the department opened two parking lots for guests in order to mitigate parking and safety concerns on Candi Lane. The gates will be open daily from 6am-9pm. There are a total of 120 parking spaces available for use.
The “soft opening” included public access to restrooms.
Park rangers are on duty to assist guests as needed.
This is not considered the “Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting” as the department is planning a formal celebration of the City of Columbia’s latest amenity later this summer.
