SOL Southwest Kitchen & Tequila Bar raises over $3,000 for local charities through recent Kitchen Karma

June 27, 2017

SOL Southwest Kitchen & Tequila Bar presented two checks to local nonprofit organizations, Birthdays For All and Chase After A Cure at their new location in Downtown Charleston. These donations were a result of SOL’s Kitchen Karma program, where the restaurants partner with a local charity for 6 weeks and donate $1 of every featured item sold to those charities.

SOL Summerville partnered with Chase After A Cure throughout April and May and presented a check for $1,931 to the organization.  Chase After A Cure is devoted to funding research and raising awareness for alternative and more effective treatments for children with cancer.

SOL in Mt. Pleasant presented a check for $1,462 to Birthdays For All, a local charity who help brighten the lives of children in Foster Care by providing birthday presents on their special day.

Including the recent donations to Birthdays For All and Chase After A Cure, SOL has now raised a total of $39,724 for local organizations.

SOL’s newest location at 385 Meeting Street in Downtown Charleston is now open. The downtown restaurant features a large indoor dining room, indoor/outdoor bar and a spacious patio. Downtown patrons can now enjoy SOL’s made-from-scratch dishes with Southwestern and Southern influences, plus premium 100% agave tequila and hand-crafted cocktails prepared with juices squeezed fresh daily.
