South Carolina Association of Technical College Commissioners announces new board

The South Carolina Association of Technical College Commissioners announces the election of new board members, appointed in June for terms to run two years.
- Herbert Watts, who serves on the Northeastern Technical College Area Commission, is SCATCC chair.
- Helen Rosemond-Saunders of Tri-County Technical College’s board, is Vice-Chair.
- George Piersol, a member of the Piedmont Technical College board, is SCATCC treasurer.
- David Smalls, representing the Technical College of the Lowcountry’s Area Commission, is secretary for SCATCC, and
- Paul Batson, a member of the Greenville Technical College board, is past chair of the SCATCC board.
South Carolina Association of Technical College Commissioners.
The South Carolina Association of Technical College Commissioners works to provide orientation and education for area commissioners and to provide advocacy and unity for the 16 technical colleges they represent. The association ensures the effectiveness of the system’s area commissioners and their colleges by educating commissioners, advocating for college needs and priorities at the state level, and providing a unifying link between the institutions that allows information and best practices to be shared.
