South Carolina Business Leaders United in Calling for Passage of Roads Bill This Year, Commend Special Order Vote

26 members of the SC Business Roundtable release letter to the Senate urging passage of bill to fix SC roads

COLUMBIA, SC – This week, dozens of South Carolina business and community leaders released a letter sent to every South Carolina Senator asking them to debate and pass a roads fix bill this legislative session.

“We want to commend the South Carolina Senate for placing H. 3579 on Special Order and taking the next step to ensuring the bill to fix SC roads has a chance to be voted on this year,”  said Bill Ross, Executive Director of the Alliance to Fix Our Roads. “Our grassroots campaign has clearly demonstrated to our elected officials that this is priority number one.”

With the release of a letter today, the business community in South Carolina has shown that it is united with the people of South Carolina on this issue on pushing for this issue to be resolved this year.

“We have come a long way in the time we have been connecting people with their legislators on the issue of fixing roads and bridges through our campaign. Everyone now knows that we cannot afford to wait another year to address an issue that is constantly growing in expense,” Ross continued.

The SC Business Roundtable stands with the people of this state is urging a vote this year on H. 3579 – the infrastructure funding bill.
