South Carolina Department of Agriculture Names Amy London Grants Coordinator

COLUMBIA, SC – The South Carolina Department of Agriculture (SCDA) is pleased to announce the promotion of Amy London to Grants Coordinator. In this new role, Amy will serve the entire agency and will have responsibility across divisions seeking and managing grants for the agency.

Prior to this promotion, Amy served as Marketing Specialist for the peach industry for six years where her primary responsibilities included serving as the Executive Director of the South Carolina Peach Council.  In this role, Amy represented the peach growers at marketing venues and provided oversight of fund raising activities for research monies to be used at Clemson University for the further development of sustainable growing practices for the peach growers in the southeast.  Amy is also a veteran of grant management, having served as the SCDA specialist for the Specialty Crop Block Grant Program and the National Organic Cost Share Certification Program for the last three years.

“Amy has an outstanding work ethic. She will do a great job in this new role for our agency as she brings new opportunities to South Carolina agriculture,” said South Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture, Hugh Weathers.

Amy earned a B.S. in Horticulture from Clemson University. Prior to joining the South Carolina Department of Agriculture, Amy held positions at the City of Columbia Forestry and Beautification Division and Riverbanks Zoo and Botanical Garden.
