May 21, 2026

South Carolina ETV and Public Radio (SCETV) programs have been honored with five Telly Awards. The Telly Awards honor excellence in video and television across all screens and are judged by leaders from video platforms, television, streaming networks and production companies.

The documentary SC On Display: The Murals of Rock Hill earned a Silver Telly Award in the General-Culture & Lifestyle category. The 30-minute film celebrates the power of public art in transforming communities and preserving cultural identity through a vibrant showcase of Rock Hill’s downtown murals.

Kitchen Curious with Vivian Howard also received a Silver Telly Award in the General-Motivational & Inspiring category for the episode “Beans & Rice.” In the episode, Vivian explores the science and history behind one of the world’s most enduring food pairings: beans and rice. Setting out to better understand the concept of a “complete protein,” Vivian uncovers why the combination has long been valued for its nourishment, affordability and flavor.

The series Fork & Hammer was also awarded a Silver Telly Award in the Series-Food & Beverage category. In the series, restaurateurs Jeff Tonidandel and Jamie Brown pull back the curtain on the high-pressure world of hospitality, giving viewers a candid look at the creativity, chaos and collaboration behind running a family of successful restaurants. The show follows the Charlotte-based team as they transform historic spaces, execute large-scale events and navigate the constant challenges of the restaurant industry.

Additionally, Behind the Scenes – A Books By The River Documentary earned a Bronze Telly Award in the General-Student category. Created by University of South Carolina student Kristina Cunningham, the documentary takes viewers inside the making of the nationally distributed literary series Books By The River and highlights the collaborative storytelling and educational opportunities behind the production.

Books By The River season 1 also received a Bronze Telly Award in the Series-Interview and Talk Show category. Hosted by Holly Jackson and filmed at ETV Lowcountry in partnership with the University of South Carolina Beaufort, the nationally distributed series features in-depth conversations with acclaimed Southern authors and explores the stories, inspirations and creative processes behind their work.

With over 13,000 entries from around the world, the 47th Annual Telly Awards honors outstanding video content across television and digital platforms. Winners are selected by The Telly Awards Judging Council, composed of over 250 executives from television networks, production companies, global agencies, immersive content studios, and streaming platforms around the world.
