South Carolina Federal’s Bonnie Ciuffo Wins National Award

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC – May 1, 2012 – The National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) named Bonnie Ciuffo as the Professional of the Year. Ciuffo is Chief Information Officer of South Carolina Federal Credit Union and President of South Carolina Financial Services, LLC.
Ciuffo joined South Carolina Federal Credit Union in 1994 and most recently was appointed to President of South Carolina Financial Services, LLC, in 2011.
“Throughout her career at South Carolina Federal Credit Union, Bonnie has demonstrated her commitment to credit union members through her strategic ideas for new products and services,” said South Carolina Federal Credit Union’s President and CEO Scott Woods. “We are so proud of Bonnie and all of her accomplishments, especially this national recognition.”
NAFCU implemented the Professional of the Year award in 2008 to recognize the individual achievements, dedication and expertise of any employee at a NAFCU member credit union.
Winners are selected based on how well the nominee meets the following criteria: professionalism and efficacy, commitment to the members/credit union community, contribution toward workplace cohesiveness and staff morale, achievements and/or innovation, willingness to go above and beyond the normal job description and continued education and training.
“Bonnie is a collaborator by nature,” said Woods. “She has streamlined departments and day-to-day functions in order to build stronger collaboration at the credit union.”
Ciuffo will accept her award at NAFCU’s 45th Annual Conference and Exhibition in Nashville, Tennessee, July 24-28, 2012.
