South Carolina Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to host Golf Classic May 3

April 8, 2024

The South Carolina Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s 2024 Golf Classic, on Friday, May 3, promises a day of fun and connection with other Hispanic business owners. The 8:30 am to noon tournament will welcome up to 40 golfers to 3’s Greenville Golf and Grubhouse.

By hosting a golf tournament, the Hispanic Chamber joins a long tradition that connects golf with business growth. For decades, golf courses in the U.S. have doubled as spaces for business networking, mentoring, and development — goals that line up perfectly with the South Carolina Hispanic Chamber’s mission.

This year’s tournament venue offers a fun twist on this traditional golf-to-business connection: 3’s Greenville Golf and Grubhouse’s 12-hole, par 3 course focuses on the joy of the game, making the experience more accessible to casual golfers. At the same time, the course includes a few challenges for more accomplished golfers.

“Join us for a round of golf where you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful course and connect with potential new clients in a relaxed and enjoyable setting,” said Evelyn Lugo, president of the Chamber.

Located at 61 Villa Road, off I-385, 3’s Greenville also features the Grubhouse, a newly renovated, casual restaurant, bar, and pro shop — a place where connections made on the links can continue to grow.

The South Carolina Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has been helping Hispanic-owned businesses in South Carolina connect and grow since 2007. The Chamber supports its members by providing guidance, education, resources, and platforms where business owners can learn from each other.

The Golf Classic on May 3 is open to Chamber members and non-members alike, allowing non-members a way to experience the Chamber’s camaraderie and connectivity. Chamber leaders hope connections made on the golf course at this year’s Golf Classic will continue to flourish and grow in the years ahead.

“It’s a perfect chance to strengthen relationships and explore exciting business opportunities,” Lugo said.

The Chamber, a nonprofit organization affiliated with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C., expanded its membership options in 2023 to include more ways to join. Now anyone from a student to a corporate CEO can find an ideal level to invest in Chamber membership.
