South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance names Annekathrin Mueller Woman of the Year

Annekathrin Mueller and Sara Hazzard, President and CEO of the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance
Annekathrin Mueller, vice president, commercial plant manager at Bosch in Charleston, has been named the 2025 South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance (SCMA) Woman of the Year. The award was presented at the annual Palmetto Women’s Manufacturing Forum, hosted at the Anderson Institute of Technology in Anderson.
The SCMA Woman of the Year Award honors an exceptional woman whose leadership has made a lasting impact on South Carolina’s manufacturing industry. Past recipients include:

- April Allen, Director, Government Affairs for Continental
- Jann Moore, Manager of State Government Affairs for Caterpillar, Inc.
- Barbara Melvin, President & CEO of the South Carolina State Ports Authority
- Sky Foster, Communications Manager at BMW Manufacturing Co. (Retired)
- Lou Kennedy, CEO & Owner of Nephron Pharmaceuticals Corporation
As the commercial plant manager of the Bosch facility in Charleston, Mueller leads a team of approximately 1,800 associates and oversees all local responsibilities related to controlling, logistics, IT, HR, and training. With more than two decades of experience at Bosch, she has continuously demonstrated strategic vision, operational excellence, and an ability to lead through transformation.
Mueller’s career includes implementing Industry 4.0 solutions at Bosch’s oldest manufacturing site in Feuerbach, Germany. At Bosch’s Anderson facility, Mueller also led complex logistics coordination during the COVID-19 pandemic. She most recently helped to guide the Charleston site through a major transition as it launched production of electric motors is located in a building formerly occupied by production of diesel components.
