South Carolina National Guard Airs First-Ever Soldier-Created Commercial After Super Bowl
February 10, 2025In a historic first, the South Carolina National Guard showcased its first-ever fully soldier-produced commercial, which aired on WACH FOX 57 immediately following the Super Bowl. The groundbreaking advertisement was entirely conceptualized, filmed, and edited by South Carolina National Guard Soldiers, featuring their fellow service members in an effort to highlight the Guard’s mission and opportunities.
The commercial marks a significant milestone, as it is the first time a recruitment ad. Showcasing South Carolina Soldiers and Airmen in action, the ad captures the dedication, training, and service of those who protect the state and nation.
“This project was about more than just making a commercial—it was about telling our own story through our own lens,” said Maj. Gen. Jeffrey Jones, deputy adjutant general of South Carolina “Every step of this production, from scriptwriting to filming and post-production, was handled by our Soldiers, demonstrating the unique skill sets and capabilities within our ranks.”
Airing after one of the most-watched television events of the year, the commercial received widespread visibility, reinforcing the Guard’s commitment to serving the Palmetto State. The initiative reflects the evolving approach to recruitment and outreach, allowing service members to craft authentic, engaging content that resonates with local communities.
