South Carolina State Museum to host PBS and Food Network Star Nathalie Dupree

November 14, 2019
The South Carolina State Museum is excited to host award winning chef and cookbook author Nathalie Dupree, Saturday, Nov. 23 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the museum’s Cotton Mill Exchange. The Cotton Mill Exchange is also gearing up for its annual Tasting Tuesday events starting, Dec. 3.
.
Dupree will sign copies of her cookbooks, available for purchase in the Cotton Mill Exchange and online at scmuseum.org. Dupree’s latest book, Nathalie Dupree’s Favorite Stories & Recipes, shares her favorite culinary stories, which trace her journey from a budding cook for her college friends, though her years as a restaurant cook and cooking instructor.
.
Nathalie Dupree is the best-selling author of 14 cookbooks, and host of more than 300 national and international cooking shows. She’s the winner of four James Beard Awards three for cookbooks and one for “Who’s Who in American Cooking.” Her books New Southern Cooking and Mastering the Art of Southern Cooking are on the 2017 Southern Living 100 Best Cookbooks of All Time list.
.
The Cotton Mill Exchange is open late every Tuesday and, in December, will bring back Tasting Tuesdays in celebration of the holiday season. From 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. guests will be able to sample South Carolina made food from local companies and enjoy samples of local beer, wine and cider while they shop.
